Nokia Unveils New CDMA Phone

Nokia today announced the 6235i mid-range CDMA camera phone. The phone features a 65,000-color display, VGA camera with video capture, and streaming video playback. Additional features include speakerphone, FM radio, infrared, and 10 MB of memory. The 6235i will be available in North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific beginning in the second quarter of 2005.

Schok — a relatively new, Texas-based mobile phone company focusing on entry- and mid-segment phones — has launched the Schok Freedom Turbo XL , a mid-range unlocked phone with an entry-level "introductory" price of just $169, "while supplies last". The phone features NFC, wireless charging, Corning Gorilla Glass on both sides, a 48 megapixel main camera, 16 megapixel wide camera, 24 megapixel front camera, and a 6.53-inch FHD+ display.

While this isn't necessarily a 6600, I'll take this step up in Nokia's CDMA product range. Here's hoping Verizon gets it soon (I'll upgrade in a heartbeat).
