ringtones in midi file

i want to download a ringtone from the tv show 24 from the website Zedge, but all their ringtones are mp3 files and the Rizr Z6tv will only work with MIDI files.

I have searched high and low for software that will convert mp3 to midi but can't find any.
I also cannot find this ringtone that I want in midi format.

Anyone have any suggestions?

ps: i'd rather download to pc than directly to my phone, thanks.

Is there a phone better than the z6tv for these needs?

Searching for a phone to replace my dying one (not dead yet). The z6tv is impressive, but is there anything else VZW offers that is better for needs below? Not need a QUERTY keyboard (low texter, something else to break) or touch screen (fingerprint magent) or mobile TV (no biggie), as no plans to subscribe until any expansion of channel offerings.

From the REVIEWS read here, CNET, HoFo, others, I like the z6tv for:
* better than average call reception, close to E815 quality some say.
* strong vibrate.
* very good speakerphone to use for work conference calls.
* 1000 phone book entries, VZ Navigator support, and 2.5mm jack similar to other phones.

Questions/concerns from reading REVIEWS
* How loud is the volume on the phone? Ca...

I have had this phone since February 2008. i have had a few problems with it, please let me know if anyone else has.. below are my issues..

1~ the phone has a mind of its own. it freezes where i will need to take the battery out or like 2 min for it to turn back on.
ALSO.. it resets randomly.. while i am talking, texting, playing a game or doing nothing at all.
very very annoying especially if i am on the phone with a client and it just resets and i loose them all together.

2~ the circle button in the center of the larger navigation circle button .. well they have fallen off and i have had to glu...

Does anyone know how to get free Mobile Web? The best site I know of is mobileweb4u, but they now seem to be only wholesale, selling to ISP's.

I did the firmware update thru VZW, and now my 4GB wont work

I just did the update, and now the phone wont read my 4GB card, where it had no problem before. How do a) get it to work, and b) get the original firmware back on it?
I also did an update on my Z6tv. Only i used the Motorola Software update from the Motorola website. I was using a 2gb SD card in my phone then I did the update and now it only supports the 1gb SD card. I spent an entire day with tech support with...

alarm question

i just got this phone....and i was was wondering...

is there anyway to set the alarm to vibrate on this phone? i set it to no ring, but nothing happens (to alert me that is...) i have my alarm set to go off every night, and having it make noise is not a good option for me...yet i need it to get me to pay attention to it...
yeah so, will it vibrate for alarm?

thanks
I just checked it out on mine. When you create the event in the calendar, you can select how you want to be notified (tone, vibrate). Select "tone" and hit "set". Choose "no ring". Select "vibrate" and hit "set". Your choices are "on" and "off". It wa...

How many songs does the phone hold?

Does it really only hold about 30 songs on the 512 mb card? That's all I'm able to get. I had about 100 when I used the same card in my SLVR.

Hearing your own voice

😕 😕 😕 😕 😕

Does anyone know if there has anyone noticed hearing your own voice feedback when talking on this phone? If so, has there been any resolution to this problem either from Motorolla or Verizon?

I got this phone earlier this year and really liked this phone. Unfortunately, I could not tolerate the feedback or echoe of my voice when speaking into the phone. So, I had to returned it after about two weeks. Currently, have E815 and its showing some wear and tear. Need to get a new phone soon, but don't really see anything else that Verizon has to offer. Would consider going back to this phone if the echoe or feedback has been resolved.

Is BitPim compatible with this phone?

Just want to know b/c I LOVE bitpim and really am hoping it will work on it. 😁
No, bitpim doesn't really work on this phone. What are you trying to accomplish? There are other ways of doing whatever you need to do without bitpim.

How's the battery life on this phone?

I'm looking to find a replacement for my Razr when my contract ends in June. The only complaint I've had with the Razr is the terrible battery life. I do alot of txting throughout the day and the regular battery wasn't cutting it so I had to get the extended battery.

What is your experience with the battery life of this phone?

Thx!
🙄 I would advise the extended battery.if you do alot of texting. The regular battery is as good as the other brands. The size of the battery has gotten smaller and the phone have more functions. The camera is great its guick to use . Chasing a...

Using old Micro Card

I just moved from E815 to the RIZR and I swapped my microcard into the new phone. I can't seem to access any of the pictures or music on it.
What do I need to name the folders so that the RIZR can find and pull the info?
I know I saw it posted somewhere when I was researching phones but now that I need it I can't seem to find it.

Thank you.
So I figured some of it out

"My Sounds"

I have some ringtones saved to the "My Sounds" folder. When I try to access thes tones under the "Sounds Settings" menu, the "My Sounds" menu does not display. Has Verizon taken this option away so that you have to buy ringtones and alert tones?

Thank you.
The files in the sounds folder cannot be used as ringtones. The only sounds I've been able to save as ringtones are mp3's. The easiest thing to do is to email them to your phone ([email protected]) or thru a site like mobile17.com.
You should be able to go to menu> Get It Now> Music & Tones> My Sounds> highlight the sound you want as a ringtone> right soft key for options> send to your own number, then it will come to you in your inbox as a pix message, open the message, press t...

Transfer Files from PC to Phone via bluetooth???

Can you transfer files (picts and ringtones) from your PC via Bluetooth to this phone? The book says yes. BUt Verizon typically has shut that option off. Anyone have any luck?

Thanks
I've tried it with both pix and ringtones but my computer gives me an error message that says "remote device does not support service". Seems Verizon has crippled this function. Shocker.

Potentially stupid question

I'm looking at getting the Z6C but since this is so similar I thought I'd ask in here as well.. Do you have to open the phone to take or place a call? Also, once you dial a number, can you close the phone w/o ending the call? Thanks for your help!
No, you don't have to open the phone to make a call. You can access your contact lists while it's closed and scroll through. Also you can access your recent calls while it's closed. And you can also access voice command while it's closed. The only...

Rizr Z6tv vs. Razr Maxx Ve :paranoid:

I can't decide which phone to go for. I love clamshell and the protection it offers but I also love the idea of sliders. I am leaning away from the Maxx because it may soon be older and becoming outdated. I like the Rizr because of the slide and its "newer" technology. The Rizr however, does not have a leather case that can fit on it and I have been unable to find one. I love the cases for the Maxx.

I am unsure of the Rizr's ease of texting because of the smaller keypad. The sliding-action is just too cool to ignore though! It seems like for me the Maxx is the safer choice but I just need some help here.

Should I go for the Maxx and be safe or should I take the chance and fall in love with the Rizr? I am worried about scra...

Battery/Charger Indicator

Has anyone found some inconsistencies with this when charging the phone, particularly when charging the phone while it's on? Sometimes, it will indicate that it's fully charged after I've had it plugged in for like 30 min, when it was dead when I plugged in in. Or it will say it's fully charged, and when I unplug it, it goes down by 1 or 2 bars. But then I shut the phone off, plug it in, wait for it to say it's fully charged, and then turn the phone back on and it says fully charged like it should. It just seems to be inconsistent, like it's not showing the correct battery status.

I just got the Samsung u540 and I thought it had it and it doesn't and I send about 5000 txt a month as a minimum and I need the learning new words and save them in the dictionary capability. Please let me know if it does. Thanks!!
