Had this phone now about 48 hours and both the 3G data and wi-fi shut off on their own. Have changed wi-fi polity to "sleep never" and turned off all batter and data managers as well. In another bad sign, the greatest use of my battery is "cell standby" even though I have an airrave in my house! Looks like moto's got some bugs to work out here

The only thing missing:

A trackpad. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Moogle, you could steal RIM's entire customer base tomorrow if you just put in the missing piece. You cannot effectively edit text on a smartphone without a cursor controller. Slider QWERTY Android devices have either a d-button or arrow keys..and this is your BB killer? Even the D-button from the good ol' Moto Q would be sufficient! RIM will continue to own the hard-core messaging segment unless this is fixed.
With the addition of a trackpad I could see a phone like this taking over some of RIM's consumer market...maybe.

I may be wrong, but I doubt its ready for the corporate environments in which RIM does quite well. Blackberries are secure and controll...

This review ends so abruptly with no real performance review.....? Kinda curious how the new Direct Connect service is doing
This isn't a review. It is an initial hands-on first impression. We were just getting a feel for the phone, not putting it through any real tests.
