Does anyone know if Sprint retail locations will sign people up for the SERO program? Or can you only get it online or by calling in?

SERO should ONLY be offered through Sprint's SERO department. Can Sprint retail offer SERO in store? It is possible in RMS (not UBS). I'm going to assume most reps don't know of the correct coding for SERO plans. I've done and adjusted SERO plans in RMS. If you're wanting SERO, go through the SERO department, not a retail store. The chances of getting SERO is slim to none. Fyi, SERO should be offered for a NEW line of service.

I am not sure what you are talking about with SERO. The plan is no longer offered if you currently have the plan you can keep it but they are no longer offering it to new customer. You also will have to change off a SERO plan if you want anything but a basic phone when you upgrade. SERO was meant for family and friends of sprint employees but due to wide spread abuse and a down turn in the economy they have removed the program. There are now programs out there but the discounts are less and you need to be referred to the program by an employee. Sorry they took the nearly free ride away but I do not blame Sprint since they made no money off the plan.

Actually... Sprint was well aware of what you call "abuse" for quite some time, but was so thrilled to have a surge of customers (considering they were bleeding customers quite badly at the time) they actually extended the life of the SERO program beyond its original termination.
