This is a serious question. All of the older Sanyo phones (4900, 8100, 5500) had excellent signal strenght in my work area. The newer phones (4920, 8200, 7400) all have 2 bars of service. how do I know this? I still own a 5500 4 bars where I work all of the newer phones 2 bars. Why is this. I might look to upgrade to the 5600 in Jan but if the service is like the other newer ones (2 bars) there is no way I will purchase an upgrade. 🤭 👿

The signal strenght on the newer sanyo phones may not have the same bar count but the signal quality is still the same. They had to standerdize the bar display compaired to other phones.

What 9mmMAG is saying is true. I am a loyal Sanyo user since 1999. I work for Sprint in the retail division as a manager and am able to witness firsthand the differences in service between differnt models/manufacturers. I have also seen lately that most of them actually work better. My assistant manager has the 7400 and recently tolde that he now gets service with this model in areas where he had spotty to none for the past four years. (Note, his previous models were primarily Samsungs.)
