Concerning downloads from other sites beside sprint
If you doewnload from other sites besides sprint, will that casue you to lose service a lot more. I have a VM 4500 and I used to be able to get service in a lead brick, I had full signal every where. Now I drop calls constantly and I can be sitting in my apt and have full signal and then look down and have no signal. I have taken it to get it worked on, and got a software, and PRL update and it didn't help any. ANY suggestons?
The poor coverage that I'm getting now is the same areas that I had excellant coverage in before. I know its the phone and not Sprint. Should I file an insurance claim, or what should I do?

The non sprint downloads can cause a lot of bad stuff on a phone. I saw that same thing on another VM-4500 not to long ago. All we did was erase all of the non sprint ringers and screen savers. Then Update the PRL and it worked like a champ again.
The currrent PRL is 10025 if you have 10023 your phone is really messed up.

downloads can cause your phone to do any numbers of crazy things. they very well could be causeing all your problems.
if the download is causeing certan functions of your phone to lock up then yes you may get more dropped calls as the phone constantly has to reconect with the tower
