We're taking actions to manage network roaming
05/16/2008
Sprint is addressing network roaming usage to better manage expenses, promote continued broadband availability, and ensure the best possible experience for the vast majority of customers. Our company's actions are designed to curtail heavy roaming and data use by a small segment -- less than 1 percent -- of customers who drive a disproportionate share of the Sprint's expenses.

ok, the data roaming limit I can agree to but a 5GB cap? what will make them different from VZW and at&t then?
...
Thats "Off-Network" roaming
...
no, read it again, 300MB is for "off-network" 5GP is total data usage
...
well now they're like every other carrier with roaming/data caps.
By the way, 5 gigs is a ton. If you're going over that, you're probably using an aircard to download movies....they just aren't meant for that type of usage yet.
...
oh sorry misread that.

I say the way to limit to 5GB is stupid, that makes Sprint has no difference from VZ and att, this may make some data customers to switch to which has better service in its area
...
Atleast Sprints being honest, Verizon doesn't even tell their customers their "unlimited" cards isn't really unlimited haaaaa!!! BOOYAAA
...
Yes they do, it's no an unlimited plan it's a 5GB plan. And when it used to be unlimited once you hit the 5GB mark your connection speed was greatly reduced, you could still use it just a lot slower, so technically it was unlimited. I could be wrong but I remember reading that Sprint also did this, reduce speeds when 5GB was reached, again I don't know for sure so don't murder me if I am. 😛

I hadnt heard of the slow down at 5gig limit for Sprint, although its not a bad idea, versus overage charges I guess. Not sure if Sprint will have a slow down at 5gigs but when i find out Ill post it.
