Hey all. I am interested in upgrading to the LG Rumor. Was wanting opinions on the phone from anyone who has used it or has played with it. Also, does anyone know if it is going to get a better price any time soon. I know the $100 with a $50 rebate is an awesome price, just curious about a future sale on it.

If you're not concerned with a fast web browsing, it's a great texting phone with MP3 capability.
I don't know about future pricing, but $50 for a phone like that is a good deal IMO.

I have that device was well as others and it is great for a non-high speed but a lot of texting user, but I would check out the instinct you have not told us why you needed this device. Would you need high-speed data would you need a quwerty? These questions allow us to make your choice easier.
It is a great device. I have had no issues.

my friend has it and he loves it. I have a LG Fusic and love LG. For those of us that dont want an unlimited plan to get the instinct i guess its the next best thing.

Nextel 18, your right, I did not specifiy why I needed the phone. I am not too worried about the internet as it does not effect my usage of the phone. I do text a bit and love the look of the Green Rumor. I currently have the Samsung M500 and the battery life on it is horrid although the features are awesome. Unfortunately, I would have to spend as much for extended batteries and backs for the M 500 for me and my wife as I would to get 2 rumors after rebates. Thanx so far to all who have put in their 2 cents. By the way, the instinct is nice, however, I am not ready to change my plan just yet. Other options are welcome though.

Well the instinct is a step up if you want that touch screen high-speed functionality. If you are just looking for a device to text and perhaps browse the web, use some other small bandwidth applications as well as looking at email from yahoo, and instant messenger then yes the Rumor is for you. If not then look to step up to the next device. If you do love texting, which you mentioned, I would get it because the QWERTY keyboard is very good for those fast fingers instead of using t9, which is a pain. Just get it and see if you like it.

What do you want your phone to do? Or what do you like about the LG Runor? The LG Rumor is a level entry handset, that is great for meassging.
The most common problem I see, on SOME Rumors, is the handset power cycles (powering off, when handset is powered on).
If you are eligible, check Radio Shack and Best Buy, they sometimes have the phone free, through the upgrade program.
