Defined by Webster's
a medium (as a newspaper or online service) of open discussion or expression of ideas
That's why forums exist in almost every aspect of information on the internet, whether be computers, phones, medical, etc.
Yet we can all search google, wikipedia, ask jeeves for answers but forums still exist.
When my patients ask me a question do I tell them to look it up on Google.
If you know the answer to a forum question and enjoy helping others by responding, great, if you don't them don't respond and keep your comments to yourself.

It works like this when you spam the forum with negative only comments people get pissed and dont like you...when you spam the forum with hand holding question after question, and want constant hand holding ppl don't like you. just deal with it.
