HELP! Weird problem with phone!
Background: I have a Sanyo Katana II. I've had it for 7 months. I bought it brand spankin' new off ebay, and have it on a 3rd party dealer line. Lately people have told me that my voice fades in and out. What are my options since I can't seem to fix the phone myself? Will Sanyo or Sprint replace it since it's mechanical defect, or am I stuck buying a new phone? Thanks peoples!

Take it to a Sprint repair store or authorized repair center. They will do a reception test on the phone and also a manual test call to check the audio quality.
If it fails the reception test or the audio has verified issues and *it is not wet* then you have a couple options:
1- you can contact Sanyo to do a warranty claim if you are the original/first owner. This involves sending the phone to them, letting them fix or replace it, then they send it back to you.
2- you can have the Sprint repair store order you a replacement. That costs $35+tax since it is not through the warranty. You hang on to your phone for 2- 4 days (on average) until the replacement phone comes in, then you go back and exhange yours for the replacement.

$55 for the replacement if your phone is not DBR (damaged beyond repair) or you do not have tep/esrp...and you are gonna wanna do this ASAP 😉

by the way: third party dealer line. Like, horribly trained by a third party that sells more than one carrier.
55 bucks? It's almost worth buying a used one on ebay and not go through the hassle of the store. Ugh. I'll probably do that then.
I called about the trouble spot, if that's it, but at this point I don't think it is. I think it's the device.
