I got the leaked version of the official Sprint 6.1 update for the touch last night!

There have been 6.1 hacks for a while now. How are you sure that that is the OEM software?

PPCGEEKS.COM is where I get alot of my software for my Mogul and Touch, most of it is not OEM. They actually have a few different versions of 6.1, mainly they all have been hacked, but some version corrupt, and some work just great. The only way you can get the OEM is either at

The HTC link is for support not downloads ??? And XDA has gotten a response from HTC saying that this release IS NOT official and warned that things can go wrong with other apps/programs. Just a heads up to those who choose to DL the "new" UNofficial ROM ... there IS a chance you could "brick" your phone.

Corret, I remember when there was a ROM update for the Treo 700wx, and "bricked" the phone. Good call. 😉
