Anyone here ever use the manufacturer warranty?

This is the first time my phone broke.

My Sumsung Ace is not charging anymore and as usual I don't have insurance on it. I usually don't get insurance because I never use the same phone for more than a year.

My question is for those who ever deal with manufacturer warranty. Is it a good idea or should pay the $120 and get a new phone from Sprint?

Thanks
MM

If your able to be without a phone for a couple weeks, go for it. They'll ask you to send it for a review. But hey whatever rocks your boat. Call them for more info

It looks like it going to be a fun ride.
For now I swapped the phone and using my old Sanyo M1.
I did call Sumsung today and the lady has the nerve to tell me the phone is out of warranty. So I remind her the phone came out in 02/2008 less then a year. She finally gave me the RMA#, the provider # and the ticket number.
She asked me to fax them my purchase receipt before as proof and they will call me and tell me where to send the phone!@#

It look like this is my last Sumsung, I missed my Sanyo phone, it never break and too bad they don't make PDA.

I still have few choices:
1. I ordered a desktop charger and extra battery so I can charge the battery
2. Pay $120 for a new phone from Sprint Store
3. Forget about sending the phone...

If you got the Ace this year, double check and make sure you can getta phone from the store for JUST $120
You may not be eligible for any rebates at all! Cheapest phone at retai is $170 and thats a basic phone! So just make sure before depending on that as your last option! Best of luck tho buddy! Keep us updated on what happens! 😉

no...the reason why its 120 ( 119) is because he doesnt have insurance on it. the new service and repair prices are 35 dollars for an in store repair on a NON pda phone with no insurance, or 119 for a PDA with no insurance

Thank you for the clarification.

Now I can go pay the 120 and get the new phone. I just missed the pda so much that my M1 is not up to the job.

BTW, I am still waiting for Samsung to send me the info so I can send then the phone for repair. I had to fax them the receipt before they can decide.
Thanks

I just received an email from Sumsung with the label to ship the phone to them for repair.
This is great!
