Question about 3rd party employee account

Hey guys and gals. I'm new to Sprint and Phonescoop but i've been in the wireless industry with another carrier for 4 years prior to sprint.

I need to know if an exception of sorts can be made for an upgrade policy.

When I start my 3rd party employee plan thru Sprint I did not purchase a phone as an upgrade. I was using a third line a friend had on his share plan and purchased a phone on ebay to swap out.

When I start the employee line I kept the phone and number but a Name Change/Change of Liability/Billing Responsible party change did not take place. They simply disconnected the number on the old account and opened it under my name and new account.

Do you think it's possible for me to get a discounted upgrade now since I did no...

From what I've seen, 3rd party accounts have to pay full SRP or hope their IAE can pull some strings. I think you guys and gals should at least get the standard HUP offers, but I'm just a lowly retail pawn as well, just on the corporate side of the fence.
