I've seen that on a lot of Treos, A LOT of Treos. Some times a hard reset works, but often enough it's a swap.

To do a hard reset on a 755 you take out the battery, press and hold the end key, and put the battery back in while still holding the end key. As soon as the access powered screen shows, let go of the the end key and then press up. *Hard resets delete everything on the phone, not memory card. Back up to your PC FIRST.

If that does not work, ESRP or TEP insurance covers this with $0 charge.

Actually, a $50 deductible would replace it. The TEP policy changed the 8th of September. They can fix it but will cost about $119 for PDA's, but filing the insurance claim is alot cheaper.

Um.. he doesnt have screen damage, so why would he need to do TEP?
ESRP should cover that just fine

Yeah the only thing that changed on the 8th is for physical damage (housing damage, 2 or more parts) or Broken Screen (bleeding LCD, cracked screen) is now through Asurian/Signal or $99/$119 through Service centers.

Is the phone still in the 30-day Risk Free Guarantee? If it is, you can replace the phone to a brand new one. I would'nt prefer to use the insurance because they will just send a refurbished or recondition phone and its not a package. Only the phone itself. If it is not, how use your upgrade if you're eligible so that it will be a brand new phone.
