Powersource Roaming?

I've noticed that if you select 'Powersource' on Sprint's coverage tool there are now areas of gray, indicating roaming.
I know powersource phones use Sprint's PCS network for voice & data and the iDEN for direct-connect.
So what part of the phone is roaming in these areas?
I assume the Sprint PCS side, but then who else provides 1900MHZ in these roaming areas for Powersource phones?

From what I can tell, at least here in Michigan, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's Alltel in the 1900 MHz band. In some other areas I guess it could be US Cellular in the 1900 MHz band as well. There may be a few other providers that provide 1900 MHz roaming for Sprint, but I'm not sure who off the top of my head. Oh, Verizon too I'm sure.

MetroPCS and Verizon have towers that work in the 1900mhz bands.

Cricket also does, but I've never had any luck using them. Always get a "not authorized to use this system" message.
