Question About Transferring MP3 Files From Computer to Phone

I have a Moto V950 and I recently tried to transfer MP3 files on my computer to my micro SD card.

The problem I'm having is that even though I put the files in the "music" folder of the media card, I must go through a series of menus under my file manager screen to access and play these files. In other words, I can't simply use the outside keys to pull up the play list, although once I get the files there, the control keys and player work fine.

Where am I going wrong? Is it essential to use a data cable and music transfer program to correctly do this, or is there a way to drag and drop from my computer directly to the card?

I do not have this issue with mine. What you can try to do is save your songs and pictures back on your computer and have the phone reformat your card (which is going to delete everything off the card) After put your songs and pictures in respective folders and you should be set.

This happens if the card was not formated before being used or if the card was formated by a different manufacture.

When I press the play button on the front of the phone.

Another thing you can check is to make sure the songs you have saved are in the same folder as the songs you download from the music store.

Sorry I got sidetracked by my next thought. Meant to say the play button on the front launches all my music fine.

Wow! I'm amazed at the clarity of playback material on this device, even at full volume! 😲 🙂
