Qchat Question

Is it true that Qchat phones do not use roaming areas for data? According to the brouchures I got in store, only voice can be used in roaming areas. Data was only available on Sprints EVDO and 1RXX areas. Is this true? Why can non-Qchat phones roam for data? Thanks 😁

Not the case at all. I have the Moto V950 and most everything works while roaming except Direct Connect, Telenav, and the Sprint Music store. If you are in a 3G area, you will have 3G speeds while roaming if such an agreement exists.

Texting, voicemail notifications, picturemail, and web browsing all work for sure.

The V950 doesn't have "roam only" option. Just "Sprint Only" and "Automatic." If you're in a fringe area, it's annoying. That and battery life are about the only two big minuses. Get the extended battery FOR SURE!
