Please answer this for me
I know people ask this everyday but it has been a while since I have been on. I am looking for a new phone from Sprint and I was thinking about the instinct. Now I have played with the iphone and the touch screen blackberry..... does the instinct compare at all? Is it good for texting? I have gone and looked at it but you can never get the feel for it unless you use it so I just want the opinion of people that use it and have it and people that work at sprint. If you don't recommend it than what do you recommend. I don't really need the Internet part of it but I like a phone that can do a lot and will last. Thanks for the advice.

Iphone is nice but no MMS and no reminder apps unless you have a jail broken one.
Instinct, nice as well but no audible reminders.
BB Storm has gotten better with updates and has reminder apps readily available (BB Alerts).
If you can't tell I don't like looking at the phone to See if there's a missed call, SMS, MMS, etc. Hence reminders.
I've owned the Instinct but the newer BB's are gaining in 'as a phone' quality and there's tons of apps to increase customization and functionality.

The Instinct's touch screen is great but it's not quite as awesome as the iPhone or iPod touch's screen. Nothing is, yet. Still, the Instinct is the best touch screen to type on other than that.
Many people won't like typing a message on touch screen no matter how good it is. Some will.

I have the Instinct, and it pretty much destroys the iPhone in everything. Speed is great, lots of good apps (Opera Mini is amazing), the typing is the best of the full touchscreens, microSD slot is very nice, and the second battery it comes with is invaluable.
Definitely worth getting.

you have to have the $99 everything plan with the instinct so you have to feel that plan is worth it to you
...
you dont have to have that plan only. you are required some sort of everything plan though such as the everything 450 for $69.99 or 900 everything for $89.99 and it can also be on a shared everything plan as well.
