I am currently a Verizon customer and feel as though Verizon service isn't that great in Chicago as compared to the east coast.

How is Sprint service in Chicago? I am considering making the jump especially with the Palm Pre coming out.

Your opinion is appreciated.

I went there with some friends when I lived in St. Louis this past summer.

Not because im a Verizon fan, but Verizon did a little better, even tho Sprint can Roam off Verizon, my friend doesnt like it when she Roams, but i never saw Extended Network on my phone. Service in big cities is harder to do because of all the buildings and stuff.

Its all up to you tho.

If you have a motorola or Samsung, i would try a LG.

Verizon started there sale on all BlackBerrys, buy one get one free, even on the Storm. Also on the Palm centro.

But the service is kinda the same in the city, Verizon did a little better in buildings tho and in downtown.

Im not trying to say dont switch blah blah blah, im just giving you the information from when ...

Thanks for the link. I saw that as well. Just don't know how accurate these things really are.

I was just looking for anyone with personal experience using Sprint in Chicago.

My job takes me from Rockford to Kankakee and to the quad cities and just about everywhere in-between. I also spend quite a bit of time in the city including downtown. I would say they are both about the same. I will renew with Sprint because I like having all the bells and whistles for 99 bucks plus tax. Verizon doesn't even compare on price - thats why I will stay with Sprint. If we are all being honest with each other I think that all wireless carriers have their pros and cons and I have dropped calls with practically all of them - Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, Virgin Mob...

Ralph,

Thanks for your feedback. I think I will be switching to sprint, but it is all dependent on the real world reviews of the Palm Pre.

That is incorrect.

"Vigian Mobile" does run off the Sprint's voice network but does not run off our Rev. A or extended network.

and?

Who cares.

Its sprints network! Sucks huh?

Its sad when you see the native service.

and when you say Extended Network, you should say Verizons network, sense its used the most when Sprint Roams (Not saying its the only thing it uses).

haha! 🤣 🤣
