I heard it will have a larger and higher resolution LCD screen than previous Rumor. the Rumor 2 is still a 1xRTT device so no EVDO. Possibly in stores mid April.

There is zero reason to not have evdo in every handset. When Vision launched, it was a short time before every new launched phone had it. Power vision/evdo has been out for more than three years now.

This is a handset for people who like to text a lot. Texting does not utilize EVDO. LG made the handset. Let's not blame Sprint. They already get a lot negativity that they don't deserve. Sprint has the Samsung Rant which is EVDO capable but is a little bigger and heavier than the Rumor.

"But, I like the design of this one."
Simple fix- put evdo in all of them like they put color screens, 1xRTT, and regular vision into all of them.
The same argument goes for the Katana 2, the Katana LX and all lower tiered phones- some of them worse than the phones they replaced. It's useless to make a new phone with the same features.

I only text, talk, and use picture mail. I wont pay for internet so I wont need it for that.
My biggest complaint about the original is the screen size and quality...if thats fixed I might just get it.
I was also thinking of the Pre but that might be too high in price, and the buttons look small like the centro.
