I haven't had a new phone in several years, because I never saw one I liked.
I have been thinking about getting a htc hero though lately.
The plan I am on is not a sero plan and has everything the erp everything data plan has except it costs much less.
I accept I might have to pay more, but not 2X what I am paying now for the same service with a fancier phone.
Any chance I can and how do I go about getting a plan for the hero that isn't so much more? I don't mind signing a contract.

Check to see if you qualify for a discount. I get 25% from work which would make my bill about $52.50 before taxes on the $69.99 plan.
Sprint won't allow you to keep the old SERO plans with the new smart phones. If you want the nice new phone, you'll need a nice new plan to go along with it.
