Truth about WIFI with Sprint
Alright ... need a little help here. I am in the mkt for a new phone and would like some WIFI capabilities for multiple reasons vs. paying significantly more each month for the data package. Does anyone know which phones would be an option for me - Pre, Samsung Intrepid, Palm Treo? .... Any ideas? Tks.

The kink in your plan is that the majority of phones that have wifi have to be on a data inclusive plan..it's not an option. The only one that doesn't is the Intrepid b/c it's Windows mobile.

Oh yea & the Treo Pro..i forget about that phone b/c nobody buys it. But the Intrepid is better anyway with WinMo 6.5.

Yeah I guess Cnet really prefers the Intrepid as well. Thats for taking a look a tmy situation. Do other providers have better options for setting up WIFI accessibility?

Honostely at&t probably has more phones with wifi, but its cuz they have to with that crappy of 3G service. Plus getting an at&t plan without data will cost just the same as getting a Sprint plan with data in most cases...so might as well get the data and the better coverage. My 2 cents anyway.
