so it's been a few years since i've really been on here, and i'm surprised to see...
that everyone seems to be really concerned with how much money sprint is making off it's customers.
how profitable, really, are their plans right now? after overhead, how much is sprint grossing? if they aren't, why not?
sprint has the potential to be the best carrier. if sprint isn't making money, then i'd venture to say it's not because they're undercutting other companies, or losing too many customers. it's because of fiscal irresponsibility. over the last 10 years, sprint hasn't been known for making the best decisions concerning money. hiring forsee is a perfect example.
it's just funny to have someone tell me that i'm cheating the company because they decided to offer me a $30 SERO plan when i was severenced a few ...

I can't believe you started a thread for this. No one sympathizes with you. Get over it. It isnt that people think you are cheating the company. Its your attitude that the company owes you something. They don't. What they owe you, you have received. Anything else you want to whine about? 🙄

the only thing they owe me is what the promised me.
what i'm trying to say is that it's an interesting turn from when i was on the forum a few years ago. people used to be interested in getting the best deals. now people seem to be defending the company and their moves to push people off grandfathered plans.
yea, the justifications i gave for having and keeping my plan are self-serving. but frankly, if not for the deal they gave me (as a part of the compensation for laying me off), i couldn't afford to have a phone right now, no matter how basic it is. maybe i'm so aggressive about keeping my plan because i'm scared to lose it. i don't care about having the a pre or a hero, especially when they've kept the option of having a b...

Maybe Sprints reps are a little jaded with always having customers think that they should be handed the world in a handbag. Agents are always getting request to remove charges for legitimate charges like downloads, overages and other misc items. Did you know that the average amount that VZW and ATT spend in adjustments on their customers is less than $1.00 per line, whereas Sprint is removed almost $3.00 per line of service. What does that tell you? Two possible answers that i can think of: one is that sprint customers think that Sprint owes them something for when they incur charges that they should be responsible for like overages or downloads. Two-that sprint over charges customers. now you have already stated that if we were talking rate...

believe me, i worked in a corporate store for a about 3 years. i know how customers expect money back. but in my experience, about half of the charges were wrong, due in large part to mistakes that 3rd party reps made. that $3 per line could be cut significantly by getting rid of poor sales venues.
the problem i find with customer care is that they just assume that whatever the customer says is wrong. reps don't want to admit the possibility that the company is wrong, and they don't want to do the work to take care of their customers. i did, and because of that, i had very loyal customers that left the company when they let me go.
that $3/line thing is a pretty big problem though. i'd like to know how much of that is legitima...

How bout this, go to any of the 4 major and ask them to match that plan... then come back and let me know the results. Its like if you won free gas for life and it was only for regular, but you want to buy a porsche and they tell you that it doesn't go for that because porsche requires premium... GO cry me a river!
