Questions about WiMAX
Initially, will WiMAX just be for data only? No voice?
Will you be able to carry a conversation over 1x and still use WiMAX to browse the web or will it be the same as it is now? Either voice or data, not both.
Is WiMAX 2.5GHz only? If it is, will you be able to buy lets say, an unlocked WiMAX phone and use it? Or does Sprint only let you activate ESN's that are in their database only? In other words, only phones with a Sprint branding on them.

Sprint can only activate phones that are in their database. They will not use SIM cards.

Oh okay. Well I guess we'll figure out the rest when the Evo is released. Sure wish they had WiMAX in my city though ☹️

According to the articles from the CTIA show in Vegas, the EVO will be able to connect up to 8 other devices to the 4G services, browse the internet & talk simutaneously!
