Basically, they're trying to convince everyone to pay the forced data charges--and like it! 🤣 What a bunch of Kool-aid drinkers. I had no idea it was this bad.

I get tons of calls about people "Not Using" data. And isn't the argument being made that if you want a smartphone, pay for data?

I think the idea is, why buy a data-centric phone to not use data? It makes everything the phone can do worthless.

Companies that make smartphones don't want people running around with Blackberries and Touch Pros that can't do anything cool; it's not good for the image they are trying to create. They want everybody with a smartphone to be able to say 'Look what my phone can do!' to their non-smartphone friends, so that more people will want to buy their phones.

Unfortunately, it isn't just smartphones, it's any phone with a qwerty keyboard. Most people who buy quick messaging phones don't want or need data. And what about the PTT phones? Those customers certainly aren't looking for that.

Ah, maybe with Verizon... =D

Sprint's QWERTY phones (Rumor and Exclaim come to mind, there's a handful) don't cost anything extra. Just smartphones.

HAHAHA VERIZON CUSTOMERS! 😈

Verizon is the worst. I don't care how good their coverage is. It doesn't justify their high prices and arrogance.

Sprint has made plenty of mistakes in the past and has paid for them. But at least Sprint has made amends and they're actually showing people that they want their business. Verizon could care less because they plenty of fools flocking over to them regardless.

Can you imagine if they originally carried the iPhone???
