Android wizzes; Problem with Hero
My girlfriend has a Hero, and just recently, the homescreen buttons along the bottom of the phone screen changed. Instead of having the normal layout, there is an '^' arrow that leads to the applications, similar to the default Moment homescreen button. Also, the number of homescreens is down to just 3.
We can't seem to find any settings that would change this. We've tried reverting the theme, but it refuses to take and nothing changes. No homescreen modifying applications have been downloaded. According to her, nothing was done to the phone and it just looked like that when she checked on it; I'm not completely sure of that, but either way, something's changed and she wants it to go back.
Any ideas short of wiping the phone.

Sounds like HTC Sense may have been turned off.
Go to:
Menu> settings> applications> manage applications> find HTC Sense> scroll down to 'force stop'> go back to the home screen. If that doesn't work, try the same steps again, but power cycle the phone. See if that does anything

Tried both steps, nothing. When the phone turns on, it instantly says that HTC Sense has a problem and force-closes. I'm going to wipe the phone and restore it.

We updated the phone to 2.1, and now the HTC Sense is working great. Sense was the problem.
