in the past sprints biggest problem was text messageing, but i am pleased to announce sprint has fixed that problem. yes with the old phones you do have to go in threw the net. however, on the new phones the nokias, the vi660 the vi 600 the sanyo 4500 7300 the treo 600 and the hitachi they all do the new new text messageing a true sms. not threw the web in other words.

the 4050 is an audiovox after all and as far as audiovox is concened they eather make an awsome phone or a peace of crap. the last phoen they made sprint the 9155 the most dependable phone sprint has ever had.

how ever sanyo is the way to go. they do have a stronger signal. in fact it is significantly stronger. there has beens everal times my where i have had 2 bars digital roam on my sanyo 4500 and my wife was in digital roam on her samsung a620.

about portting issues not all numbers are portable... prepayed phones such as track phone, go phone, vergin mobile and sop on... can not be ported. wlnp is also only avalible for the top 5 carriers in the top 100 markets, if you are not in the top 100 markets and one of the top 5 carriers you can not port untill may when the law will go into effect for the rest of the country. in addition to that with some companie in particularly at&t, verizon, and cingular. they are patch work networks. as a result they do not just have one billing system depending on which part of the network your account was created on your account can not be accesed on other parts of the network. when they are porting a number the clearing house may not be able to acces your number because you are on an older billing system (if you think that sounds fun just wait till cingular and at&t officially merdge) and last but not least your phone may be causeing the problem. you may be on a non wlnp compliant phone. it is extreamly rare but your phone may be causeing the problem. sprint has been swaping phones out like crazey because they have been non wlnp compliant. great deals for customers who have had there phones for 3 years. unfortunately those old phones were so much more durable then the new phones

wow that is a lot of info happy digesting
