sprint phones on other cdma networks
doe's any one know the "brass tax" on hooking up a sprint phone on verizon are other carriers service. some sa 😕 y you can some say you cant which one is it and if yes how do you do it with the sanyo scp-5500.

you can try, it is verizon that doesnt wish to have the phone hooked up on their network, it makes it really easy for people to use their own phone on your # and then rack you with the bill!
all you need is the msl (u get it from cust sol. if they will give it out)

legally you cant. every carrier subsidies and copyrights software on their phones and aka locks it to their service. also, alot of sprints phones are dual band meaning 1900 mhz pcs/analog 800. majority of verizon's network is 800 mhz, so not compatible in most areas.

legally if i by a phone third party or off ebay i can do what i want with it. if i purchase the phone i can hack in to the programing and do what i wish. it is my phone and my software at that point. no different than if i buy a lexus and put a bmw engine in it my prerogative 😉

No matter where you get it, once you buy it it is yours and you can do whatever you want to with it!
all sprint controls is the msl and warranty, most of that stuff will void the warranty!
And by the way, all new sprint phones are dual mode and triband which means they work on 1900cdma, 800cdma, and 800analog! the phone will roam all the time unless you change the settings in the phone itself.
