sprint is "secretly" doing early upgrades at cor stores for some customers, if you call in to customer service to see if they can get the early upgrade available it usually works
got 4 customers today so far just by callin in (and waiting about a half hour or so)
all of those customers were eligible for upgrade aug next year or sooner

The only time an upgrade date would be changed that far out is if it was incorrect to begin with.
