SPRINT CANT EVEN FIX A SIMPLE VOICE ISSUE

👿
*Have had service for almost a year with no problem
*I am disabled living in Florida with all my relatives in Virginia
*I have two close relatives who have line land phones with call block
on their phones for years
*Problem started September 20, 2012 with the message “This caller does
not accept callers who block their number, Please unblock your number
and try again”
*Called Customer service September 23, 2012 that assured me the problem
would be resolved within 72 hours with a call back. How many 72 hours is there in 10 days?
*There was death in the family and I have been unable to call when
needed, she was like a grandmother to me and she died and buried and
I’ve been unable to grieve with my family
*I have been accused of blocking my number. The only change I made to
my account when I added a line in June 2012
*After numerous calls, I went to the corporate store in Sanford FL
where I was there for over 5 hours with no success
*Customer service rep suggested that I change my phone number, when I
told him it was not an option because 1. I’ve had this number for over
10 years, 2. I am disabled and have numerous doctors, social security,
IRS and many more. I just can’t send a mass text and say, “I have a
new number”
*Service rep changed my number to a new ESN and it still would not
work.
*Tried to call by hitting *87 before calling the number with no avail
*Since this issue started, I’ve been told the fix was coming in 72
hours and been told this is numerous times
*Was told that if I changed carriers, my number would still not work
because it was a problem with my number
*I worked for a cellular carrier for 8 years before becoming disabled
1.5 years and knowledgeable about network issues and don’t appreciate
being told lies when I know it is a network issue
*My frustration has maxed out and I am not trying to cancel my other
line and don’t want to cancel my line since I’ve been happy since
joining the Sprint family
*After the rep humped his shoulders, I called to see if the ETF would
be excused because this was no fault of mine and was told that since I
can make other calls, they would still charge me the ETF
*Was suggested to me to call my relatives and ask them to remove the
call block off of their lines. I refused, that is their choice and
I’ve had no problems prior to September 20th.
*Everyone that promised to give me a follow up call has failed, no one
has followed through
*Was told that since I’m able to make other calls, waiving the ETF was
not possible
*I have completely lost faith in Sprint with all of the lies and broken
promises

I am brand loyal but this is out of my control and it has gone on far
too long, I don’t feel like I should be punished for something that is
out of my control. If the problem with these two numbers can be
resolved, I would be glad to remain with Sprint but if not, I would
like to port my number to another carrier without the ETF fees.

I noticed you also posted this same thread in the Sprint Community forum. Here are a couple of statements you made I find puzzling:

1. After 10 years of supposedly good service, why would one bizarre incident like this suddenly turn you away? If you were in the wireless industry, you know better than anyone else that the people you deal with on the phone are often poorly trained temps.

2. You claim to be knowledgeable about network issues; however, you don't know or even have a theory as to why this is happening. That being the case, how can you claim it's a "simple issue?" If it's so simple, why haven't you fixed it?

3. You complained that this issue prevented you from calling two family members, but no one else. I fail to see ho...

I am paying for a service I am not receiving. I will not contact a third party when I need to talk. I am paying my bill and expect to call whoever I want, when I want. I only posted on the Sprint forum this week for the first time. I never stated I was a customer for 10 years. The issue has been going on since Sept 23rd, that is more than enough time to fix it.

Disregard anything old "gloopey" says. His/her knee-jerk reaction is always to defend Sprint's actions at all costs, disregard the facts, and to turn your posting against you with typically bizarre verbal twisting. Pay no attention because his/her postings are meaningless contortions of the facts, saying whatever it takes to make Sprint look good. I suspect old "gloopey" may be a political strategist or speechwriter/spindoctor. Usually, paranoia is involved, and "gloopey" will make unfounded and unprovable statements that you are a serial poster with multiple aliases, posing as yet another Sprint-basher. It's great entertainment watching the predictable responses of old "gloopey" ;-)

Yes they are. No place at all for someone to simply post mindless blather.

I concede to being somewhat Paranoid....

I freely admit that I am a fan of Sprint....

In my opinion, the reason many knowledgeable folks have left here is because they grew tired of the endless discussion threads that revolved around carrier X really sucks....

To me, I'm doing more than defending Sprint. I'm preserving the purpose and integrity of this site....

I really could care less that someone got bad service, was treated unfairly, or any other bad experience they supposedly had....

If you have call blocking on your phone do: *82 to unblock your number while your dialing your fiend. So do *82+area code +number and then send. See if that works. It should.
