My General Feeling Towards All The Complainers

Sinner

Jul 20, 2005, 11:06 AM
Everytime I come back to the Sprint forum, there is somebody complaining about how "Sprint hasn't kept up" or how "Customer Service is terrible". Well please allow me to adress these complaints.

First of all, if anything, Sprint has been the innovator over the past year. I can't recall Cingular, T-Mobile, Verizon, Nextel or any other service provider saving you from outrageous overages month to month. I'm amazed at how many customers of the competition abandon ship and sign up with Sprint because they were getting raped on their bill.

Number two, Sprint has some of the best handsets on the market. While they are limited on Bluetooth (and I sincerely doubt that lack of Bluetooth makes a company inadequate) they sport Sanyo brand pho...

I agree there are the dishonest complainers, (credits etc) but I am a paying customer who always pays his bill and wants something better than the 5300, but doesn't want to spend a fortune. I'm not saying Sprint is a bad company for offering limited Bluetooth. You are correct, this is a business, but is it wise to pay for an unused feature or service? I'll give you two examples in my case: I seriously doubt I'll be watching short video clips on my handset. Ready link is another. All my friends use different carriers, some T-mobile, some Verizon, a few Cingular, none have ready link phones. why would I upgrade to a handset (The MM-7400 comes to mind) that has RL when I'll probably never use it? Please don't misunderstand, Sprint is not a bad,...

Its not neccessarily true that you pay for features your not going to use. For example the Sanyo 8200, which has ready link and a camera, retails at $229. The Samsung A740, which has a camera but not ready link, retails for the same price. So you are not paying extra to have the ready link feature unless you actually use it. In regards to Multi-Media phones you are really paying for the video recorder, not for having the multi-media option. If you just want a smaller nicer phone with a camera but without video or ready link, Sprint offers you several different options - Samsung A740 and LG 225

Sprint overall in my opinion is the best pick. Why the hell is bluetooth so damn important it affects how much your willing to spend a month? I think BT sux at this point in its existence anyway.

I agree. I think Bluetooth is over rated, and I think it is a high security risk since people can use thier computer to hack into your bluetooth phone and do all kinds of things to your phone without your knowledge!

What exactly do you know about bluetooth? for any two devices want to bond via bluetooth one you have to putt he code in and second bluetooth has to be turned on you can turn it off and then a bluetooth connection cannot be made. and the bond has to be agrred upon and will notice if there is a bond on your phone via bluetooth as there will be an indicator saying so. not to mention you be asked if you want to allow the connection to be made. You may want to get a better un...

I don't know a lot about the technology, I am just sceptical that's all. I have read some phone reviews on here where people have had funky things go on with thier bluetooth phones.

nothing like unauthorized access. someone would have to authorize it. if with find me turned on the phone user still has to allow the bluetooth device to access their phone. Not to mention if the turn it off the feature then no bluetooth connection can be made. It be the same as trying to watch cable TV with the TV turned off.

"Number three, this is business, not friendship. Companies are out to make money, not play nice with it's customers."

Well spoken! Too many people think that just because they bring thier business to a carrier that, that carrier owes them free this and free that. There are a lot of people who are canceling thier contracts and paying close to 200 dollars for the ETF, and then they go to a new carrier and spend another 200 on a brand new phone. Today on phonescoop, some guy said he spent 700 dollars to 1. break his Verizon contract and 2. to get the new Moto Razr with Cingular.

I think that is so rediculous! 700 dollars is worth two months of rent for me!
