Not exactly, an ev-do upgrades. It is more of a super ev-do rev a upgrade!!

Ev-do rev o is UP TO 1.5mb/s which usually averages 500-600kb/s depending on where you are on the cell tower’s edge or not. ev-do rev a is an average of 1.5mb/s with peaks of 3mb/s.

4g; is basically from 7mb/s to 75mb/s.

So I guess you are right that is a ev-do rev a in some regards, because it is, however, you cant compare DO to 4g.

there are more applications and solutions you can do with 4g then 3g, ev-do.

Not exactly. Yes, in that it will be faster, but it will most likely replace EV-DO instead of being an upgraded version. There is an EV-DO upgrade coming called Release A, but 4G is beyond that and even faster.

Although it's all still being worked on, (so it's kind of a moving target,) right now 4G generally includes OFDM-based technologies like Flash-OFDM and WiMax.
