Who bought who???
it was a stock and cash deal. 1.26 per in stock and .84 per share in cash. (if you are a netel shareholder you would get that)

it will be a 51 to 49 percent ownership in favor of sprint, but they need to have that ownership becuase they want to do a proper tax free spin off of local. in order to do that successfuly, they need to have control of the company.
it is a merger of equals as i mentioned before.

I stand corrected, it was a stock AND cash deal. Nextel18 finally got one, except for the fact that he cant spell NeXtel. I don't rightly understand how it can be considered a merger of equals, though.
now your making fun of me becuase i forgot to place an X? lol how pathetic.
the first sentence i spelled it right lol... anywya.
why dont you understand its a merger of equals?
1. they have the same market cap.
2. they are using 6 and 6 top execs to be on the new company's board from both companies.
thus; its a merger of equals.
as mentioned before on paper it isnt becuase of what i explained earlier with the spinco.
1. same market cap
2. 6 execs from each company will be in the new company.
thus; merger of equals.
on paper its not becuase of the proper tax free spin off of local.
they are leading in basically every category but total subscribers and quarter sub growth.
