i am still trying to decide if i should go to sprint. when you look at the sprint nationwide coverage map, it appears as though you will have service everywhere. granted there are dead spots and bad areas just like any other carrier. is the coverage map they show a true indication of service coverage? if so, why isnt the rest of the country on sprint network?

They are adding cdma eqipment to alot of nextel's towers so there will be more coverage and with no roaming you will have service mostly anywhere.

No carrier covers the ENTIREcountry. Sprints plan cost-to-coverage is in my opinion the best overall deal. (Yes, better than VZW and dont get me started)

Well, actually...satellite phones do have coverage everywhere, although I'm not sure if that really counts as a carrier or not. Living in the po-dunk south, we don't actually have any retail shops for those phones here. So, sure, Ridic good point for once.

Unless your inside a building, then satellite phones are worthless.

See, now, I learned something new that I never would have learned here in the deep south. Thanks.
