Anyone out there know if Sprextel is planning to cover Alaska, most specifically the Fort Richardson area? lots of soldiers in my area getting stationed there wanting to start service with us

I would have to assume that both of Alaska's customers will be pretty low on the priority list of Sprextel's, at least as far as adding new towers. 😁

Well, best i figure, there are about 100 soldiers per month leaving my area (yours too dimwit) for Fort Richardson to spend about 4-8 years there.

wow speaking of no brains cing has less coverage in alaska then sprint does. with sprints expanded voice coverag you get atleast 100 times more coverage. just look at the map. any yes most of the coverage in alaska is analog which cing can not use.

You know... before I put my last post up I didnt look at Sprints map of Alaska BUT amazingly I'm still right.... You fanboys keep hollering about AMPS as if it's the sh*t, dude not only will your ear fall off if you live in Alaska and have Sprint đŸ¤Ŗ (dude that is funny) BUT no features are usable AND it's going away by 2008... So let's review JOHNNY... J/K 😉 No features, radiation poisoning AND you're SCREWED if you end up there with an ALL-Digital phone.... So why is Sprint great in Alaska again??????? đŸ˜ŗ 🙄 😕

Even though AMPS is going away, it is still more widely available in rural areas, like Alaska, than digital service is. Secondly, your point about radiation poisoning is kind of funny. Yes, AMPS has a high power output. But have you ever taken a look at the power out put of GSM vs CDMA??? When you respond back with your next nonsensical post, make a phone call. Watch your screen go absolutly freakin' nuts. Ask a friend, if you can find one, if you can borrow their CDMA phone. See a difference? That's radiation poisoning in your melon my friend. Compliments of your king of the world GSM service.

P.S. Buy a headset

Really? Because I just went to the Cingular website and typed in Fort Richardson's zip code: 99505 and got this:
We are expanding our coverage every day but unfortunately this is one of the few areas we haven't reached yet. Please check back soon. If you think you may have entered the wrong ZIP, please re-enter and try again.
Sounds like Cingular RULES!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that remark was almost as witty as the one you posted to me above. Congratulations on your feeble attempt at witticism and sarcasm, you are hereby dubbed, "whimsicle willy." Thank you for your substantial and importatant contribution to this, and all other, posts.

Thank you once again, "whimsicle willy"
