It kinda sounded like the lady I talked to just made up an answer, because she hesitated then said something like "um, thats because not all nextel subscribers will work with that feature" ...well duh, lady. thats why i'm calling...who is and who isnt considered mobile to mobile?
she goes on to tell me that it's dependent on the MODEL of Nextel phone that determines whether they're eligible for M2M or not, but 90% of them are included in M2M. This sounde...

It has nothing to do with the model iDEN phone. The M2M option is $5.00.

It has nothing to do with the model of the phone.

"that it says all Sprint PCS subscribers and MOST Nextel subscribers"

this means that it is available for Most Nextel subscribers BUT not the ones who are in Nextel partners markets.

hope that helps.

Most customer care people do not understand about the mobile-to-mobile situation and that is quite understandable because the language is a bit difficult.

SYKE, you do some research, whatever problems Cingular has with other carriers is taken care of behind the scenes!!!! If I have coverage and make a call to another Cingular customer it's FREE inspite of what has to be done to make it that way. 😉

the problem is... partners (nextel) isnt part of this merger so that is the only reason why... as soon as partners gets bought out with the valuation process if investors vote yes for the put option then we will see that change.

that isnt their problem... you can just call them or even direct connect them.... it just is with mobile 2 mobile... nextel partners isnt associated with the merger....

if my friends lived in those areas i would direct connect them. lol.

What... What is that you say Nextel18.... you would just ptt them if they're in one of the Nextel partners areas!? Very good... you got me... NOT đŸ˜ŗ ... HOW THE HE** ARE YOU GOING TO PTT THEM, IF THEY'RE IN A sprint customer!? 😛 The fact of the matter is, that you all are used to sub-standard service and not having M2M to ALL you're beloved sprint/nextel brethren simply proves it! 😉

check previous forum messages, nextel18 is always respectful, even when he's correcting people...
