the thing is, sprint was clear about how many patents were being violated and things of that nature and specific language that is shows that it is impossible to be false. kinda like when qualcomm sues other companies for violating they are so detailed.
the lawyers win anyway..
i am thinking sprint should just buy vonage out.
It's hard to say one will win over another because it looks "clear".
"RIM earlier this month rattled investors when it said efforts to finalize a
March agreement that had appeared to settle the long-running patent litigation
with NTP had broken down. RIM has gone to court to seek enforcement of the
agreement, which called for RIM to pay NTP $450 million to settle the dispute.
NTP is arguing the agreement was preliminary and said the two sides disagreed
over final terms. It is also threatening to seek reinstatement of a previous
court order that would shut down BlackBerry sales and service in the U.S.
Neither RIM nor NTP have disclosed specifics of the impasse."

NTP's original suit was "clear" which is why you think Sprint will prevail.
Clear has nothing to do with it.
anyway, the suit had already been settled, which means closed, however, ntp for some reason backed out of the agreement they already had. (ntp already won a while ago on a simliar matter against rimm)
the point is, this suit with sprint vs vonage has just begun and not even close to an impasse or a settlement, while ntp and rimm has.
Are you just digging in your heels because I said it?
All I said was NTP's patent suit looked "clear", a word you used to describe Sprint's suit as a reason it is factual.
NTP has now had most, if not all, of their patent claims rejected. It has nothing to do with the settlement. But it looked "clear and factual" at the beginning.
"Clear" does not mean "factual". I am talking about "A" while you want to compare it to "Z".
Relax man.
i am just laughing at ya that is all.
all i am saying is that the sprint vs vonage case has just started while the ntp vs rimm's case is basically over.
anyway, this will continue to loop into circles becuase you like to spin things.. so we will just leave it at that.
And he didn't answer my question anyways hehe.
i answered your question...
sorry i do have a life you know other then posting 24/7 on here like you do. 🙂
That is new.
I'll let others jump on your for that revelation.

no... i own a store.
That's funny....for as long as I have seen you on this board you claimed that you "don't work". Obvious that you lied on this little bit of information.
when one owns a store they have people working for you... meaning i dont work. i have people working for ME.
working and owning a store doesnt fall in the same boat. sorry.

you need to understand something my friend.

You may have some working for you, as do I, but you still have to "work" to pay them, write the rent check to the landlord among other items such as utilities & insurance, and in total over see your operation.
That is called working my friend no matter how you cut it. So don't pretend that your something that your not.
i dont have to work at all. as i said above.. you hire people to handle things for you.
when you own a store you dont work.. not sure if you dont know that...
stupid remark? hahahah... pathetic...
you need to try going out more...
I know quite a few store owners, AND THEY ALL WORK.
I know the owners of quite a few Verizon and Cingular agents. Yeah, there are some that don't work, but their stores don't do very well either. The best agent principals are very hands-on in their operation. Those that suddenly decide to "coast" suddenly see their sales drop and wonder why. Gotta constantly get an edge!

I am in my store 6 days a week and we are closed on Sunday. I try to leave early or come in a little late every once in a while but I want to be around for every customer.
That's a man who takes pride in his operation. Kudo's!
Personally I like the 7:30 to 4:30 M-F, and a regular check every 2 weeks, but that is just me.
i know many store owners too and they dont work either.
i guess we do things differntly in our end than in yours.
sprint's case has just begun while ntp vs rimm is pretty much over.
as i said we will just go around and around in circles.
Yeah, it didn't make sense if you took it as a time frame reference.
I don't know if you even relaize it but you do this alot. You either add your own point to a discussion that is completely out of context or you change the direction to please your own motive. The end result is you then accuse others of "going around in circles" when you turned the direction of the conversation in the first place.
I didn't say anything about time. I was talking (as many others here have read and entered their opinion) about MERIT and how "Clear" a cause of action has nothing to do with said MERIT.
Loo...

i mentioned something about time that is why i said your analogy didnt make any sense... 1 is almost closed or by law closed, and the 2nd one isnt closed and just begun.
1. was settled.. (but ntp backed out of the deal)
2. just begun...
i never mentioned one thing about merit... just about your analogy with timeframe.
I WAS ARGUING ON MERIT, YOU CHANGED THE ARGUMENT TO TIME FRAME.
The funny thing is you can joke about me owning a store (kiosk in your little world) and I don't argue with you. I am proud that I own a store. I am proud that I the number one store in volume in my market (can be confirmed by several other outside sources as well). I am proud I have kids that keep me up late.
And most of all, I am proud I am a grown up.
i wasnt arguing about merit. as you know i never changed anything i just stood my ground with saying about the timeframe...
store and a kiosk are different but thats ok.
number 1 store? not to shabby. perhaps you should take some of your funds and go out more? or perhaps you shouldnt be on people's back ON THE INTERNET and go out with your kids and family some more.
your grown up? hahahah. arguing with a 21 year old all the time with the smallest things.. very grown up. lol..

I would be surprised if Sprint wins... This is a poor analogy, but, its kind of like every car company having to pay Ford Motors residuals because Henry Ford built the first car....

they will probably settle it... vonage doesnt really have the money to challenge sprint, even though vonage might do an IPO soon and reclaim it all back.

Actually Ham radio has been using packet data switching way before Sprint was in wireless, but you don't see the ham radio manufacturers who still manufacturer packet systems suing Sprint or anyone else as its considered an open technology.
Be interesting to see how this unfolds.
