What's the pro and con of Sprint?

I can't think of any point why people want to sign up for Sprint service.
For reliable service I will go to Verzion.
For good look phone I will choose GSM.
For world travel, I choose GSM again.
For good customer service, T-Mobile is much better.
Please tell me why people choose Sprint? What is the selling point?

The only good thing I can see is combined services, Local/Wireless/DSL/Satellite all in one bill... Other than that my list looks a little different:
Reliable service-
Depends, they all have problems depending on where you live and if you like to travel. Even Verizon.
Good looking phone-
Cingular.
World travel-
Cingular.
Good customer service-
I would never go to T-Mo just to test their customer service as to why I don't have service anywhere.

I'm sorry I can't agree. Cool phones from Cingular. You're kidding right. Sanyo 8300 has walkie talkie, sprint tv, satellite radio. video phone. etc.

I have that phone. My V400 was a lot better, in my opinion, especially in design. Who uses satellite radio and sprint tv anyway?

For me in my area....

Pros.
The service seems to work a lot more than Cingular. I just learned today that Cingular has had some problems in my neck of the woods for about a month or so, but can't figure out what's wrong and can't say when it'll be fixed, hence the switch

Cons
Customer Service
No bluetooth on the phones
Most of the decent phones look the same they did 2 years ago
You cannot open an account and go month to month at the same rate
If you were to damage your phone and you added a friend's old phone, you automatically have to wait 2 years before getting the $150 discount again, reguardless if you were in your 16th month.

Sprint owns their own network, so they can, for the most part, guarantee all your services are going to work the same as long as you get service. Sanyo phones are a Sprint (and now Qwest) exclusive. If you've never had one, you probably wouldn't know the difference. Once you get one, you won't go back to anything else. In my area, Sprint gets better service than VZW, Cing, and TMob. It really depends on where you are...

As a matter of fact, I'd like to revise your list a little-

Nationwide travel- VZW
World travel- Cing.
Reliable service ( at least everywhere I've been)- Sprint

But again, to each his own... I'm sure this will fester 500 replies saying something like "Sprint sux!!, Sprint is unreliable...", but again, I said ...

I fully agree with you. Sanyo's are the best phones on the market. If you haven't tried it you will never know. satellite radio is huge. Also Sprint teamed up with NFL so they'll be getting football games on the phones. Beats having a cingular phone that has a flip out keyboard.

Don't talk about Sanyo...it hurts too much. 😢 It's MY only complaint about T-Mobile.

Just one major con ...

if you are on a call and your phone needs to switch to roaming... it will drop your call every time

and the 8300 only has 16bit color .... besides the streaming video it's features are pretty common with lower end gsm phones

I think all the Sanyos have 16-bit 62k colors... That's one reasons I've stayed with Nextel and my i760, the display is incredible...

The 5600 is 18-bit. But even that is more than enough to produce a good picture. And yes, the i760 display is gorgeous.

I agree that display clarify is a plus but what is a incredible display good for when you can't even take pictures with the device. The i760 doesn't even have picture id none the less streaming mm.
