I've been with them for a few weeks and so far, things have been good. Maybe you don't understand how your phone works?
...
What did they do. I am considering switching to Sprint and would appreciate the info.

So, OK, he's gonna tell you a bad story of which it could be his or Sprint's fault. In response you'll decide not to get Sprint. But you could do this with EVERY carrier and in the end, not choose AHY service becuase they had a pissed of customer. Am I following the logic?

Didn't pay your bill?

The voice quality is great, but when you have to speak to a customer service rep, pray first. It seems that everytime that i have contacted a rep in the last year they fail to make corrections to bills, and get features working properly. We called every month to cancel ptt but somehow they never had record of doing so. Cancelled it online and still charged. Sprints claim to fame is no confrimation number, there nothing they can do for you.

Read my thread on cust service problems? A little piece of advice

Yes, this is a large widespread problem. Reps not noting accounts and no record of them ever accessing it. That's why I notate every time. Oh, and I also do things correctly. Can't tell you how many times I've had to say, "I apologize but it's not documented in the account" when I know that the person probably just didn't notate. But it works both ways, too. If a customer gets charged for overage on prorated minutes and it's not in the notes that the proration was explained to them, we credit them.

I do agree that Sprint's customer care can be improved. Unfortunately I run into an idiot or two from time to time. However, its come a long way from were it was. I actually had the worst experience dealing with Cingular when I was employed by them. I'm sure all call centers with all companies have their quarks. I don't think the decision to choose one carrier over the other based solely on biased critics should deter anyone from doing their own research.
