Stay Loyal?
I have been with T-Mobile since 1998 (signed up with Voicestream). My wife and I are both Architects and desperately need a Mobile PDA device. We have been carrying Palms and Mobile phones separately for years. Note, I have been “out” of my contract (month-to-month) for two years. That’s how long I’ve been waiting for T-Mobile to have something decent (non-crackberry).
Last November I called in to inquire about the newly (new at the time) released Treo 650. They said no, but “we should shortly.” Long story short, I have been calling them and checking their web site for 12 months…nothing.
Sprint has made me a handsome offer including two Treo’s at $319 each, free shipping, and free activation. Plus, their data plan is now d...

Sounds to me like the only thing that is keeping you with T-mobile is loyalty!? This is fine as I'm very loyal to my cellular provider as well.... with all that mushy stuff being said I can HONESTLY say that my provider gives me EVERYTHING I want and THIS and THIS alone should be what you're asking yourself. Sounds to me like T-mobile doesnt want to play ball? If this is the case by all means get rid of them! Are you going to pay a little more for your minutes... yes but you're ultimately getting what you want! Lastly, I would say push for an even BETTER deal on those Treo's... if you had said Sprint is going to give me the Treo's for 199.99 that would have been something. Long story short: if T-mobile doesnt have what you want LEAVE, BUT do...

I’ve already been down that road. Sprint Unlimited Data plan = $10. Cingular/Verizon unlimited Data plan = $45. That’s $240 over two years, or $1080 over two years. I’m not a math major, but that’s just silly.

The Vision pack plans for Treo's are $15, $20 and $25. There isn't a $10 plan.

IMO the Treo is the biggest POS available. If you want a true PDA phone from Sprint get the 6700. It runs Windows Mobile 5.0, supports 1X, EVDO and WiFi and has many more options than the Treo.

It's really not the $180. Priority one, we need two similar devices that have SD slots, Outlook contacts, and email. That's all. I'm not too picky. T-Mobile just seems to be slacking in this area. The only reason they are doing well now is that they are the Wal-Mart of mobile providers. Cheap sells!

Exactly! I posted this question in the T-Mobile forum and the T-Mobile reps came started posing as helpers. One even called me an “outsider”…whatever that means.

I can’t wait for our 6700’s to arrive!
