18, I have a question about Verizon and Sprint's EV-DO service and you are one of the more informative persons in here.
1. If I was to purchase a data card and service with either Verizon or Sprint, would I be able to download music for iTunes or Napster and also download music videos from yahoo.

I saw on one of the threads that you could not download music and videos. I surely hope not or that kills my future plans. Inform me please.

You can do whatever you want. the aircard is strictly your connection to the internet, not a content controller.

well, verizon's ev-do service it seems like they have blocked out a lot of things that you cant do, which was already mentioned on the verizon's forum.. (in phonescoop) i think it was mentioned under "ev-do restrictions."

the below clip has to deal with verizon's ev-do.

ygben nextel is right but as my other response in the verizon form nobody has never been kicked off the evdo network for that clause. that clause is in there for people who try to use the service as a server or something like that and that is there to protect you and the band-with from hogs. I don't know about sprint but we tested evdo at full capacity and we where still getting 400 to 500kbs. but that is one reason for that clause I know you would not like to call in and talk to a csr about how when you get on evdo it is very slow hence the clause to find out who is killing the band-with and deal with it so everybody else can share in the enjoyment of evdo. hope this helps
