Question about updating roaming capabilities

With Sprint PCS, do you have to update your roaming capabilities like on Verizon (*228 )

No - it is all done with over the air programming.

As far as I know, it is automatic. Now, I have no hard evidence of this as I am simply drawing off of my experience as a former Sprint customer knowing I never had to do anything like *228 while I was with them.

Yes it does need to flaged to have an update. Yo can call in to customer service and request to be flaged for an update. After that you will need to call *2 and the phone will set it self up for an update. The update is called a PRL update (perferd roaming list).

*2 only needs to be used with phones that were released prior to the 5600. everything after the 5600 updates automatic.
