does the sanyo 8200, 8300 or any other sprint phone for that matter have the capability to get a turn by turn navigation package like something simular to nextel's tele nav?

You have the option to purchase navigational tools from sprint.com. They have tools like TeleNav and MapQuest for a monthly service charge under download//applications.

Any multimedia phone has the capability. Think Sanyo 8300 and later. I personally use Garmin Mobile and it ROCKS!!!!!!!

I have a 8200 and 8300. my mom in law drives school buses and has sprint but currently uses the LG VI-125. if i give her my 8200 does this mean she still can't get the navigational feature because its no MM?

If your 8200 is active just go to the web and see if under applications you have TeleNav. The funny thing I have noticed is that I can't find it with my A900 but my co-workers 8300 has TeleNav as an option. You may want to check first before you give your phone away.
