Nextel 18 - discounts
when will nextel merge its corporate disocunts?
For example we get 5% with nextel and 18% with sprint.

17% cingular

well, as of right now, the billing systems are differnt and that means the billing, activating phones, transfering phones and other features are different. discounts with nextel arent usually that great but sprint and others seem to be better. i would say when they combine their billing systems which should be within a few years, (probably 1) is when we will see discounts increase for nextel. it is tough to see whether or not they will increase their discounts for coporate and it is easier once the billing systems are combined.

KNOWS people will pay for the service. whereas sprint needs to give nice nvp percentages to give the their phone away

well people pay for sprint service too, as you would remember sprint has the 2nd highiest arpu to nextel. so that theory that you just stated doesnt make too much sense.
nextel could offer the same discounts, but i guess they choose not to for a reason.. (i didnt ask why)

what i'm saying is, that most companies love the fact that they can have walkie talkie and ban employees from the actual phone...sprint...mind you i work for them...has a bunch of gimmicks that younger crowd get sucked into. then they get hotlined every ten minutes and they're stuck with "vision"

Many national account discounts are being evaluated and iDEN/CDMA discounts will be standardized. Depends on what discount you purchase under and when it will be updated.
