Sprint and customer Phone upgrades

I am considering switching to sprint from T-mobile. I have liked T-mobile in the past because I always was able to sign 1-yr contracts. I am usually ready to upgrade phones each year or I have been known to lose phones. When your contract is up you have better negotiating power on getting a better price on a phone. I have bought unlocked phones also from myworldphone. Do these places not carry CDMA phones? I am worried that I will want to upgrade phones in a year, and apparantly Sprint only gives $75 off of retail price for a 1-year customer. I just don't want to get bent over if I need a new phone. It seems that only the GSM phones are available to buy without service (myworldphone etc)
Any help would be appreciated.

If you want a 1 yr contract, you should stay with tmob. You cant get a F and F plan without a 2yr, and if you upgrade your phone, your right, only 75 off with a 1 year contract. You can buy sprint phones without a contract extension for full price once youve started service, or you can do ebay.

Although I don't suggest getting 1 year with sprint, the last reply was wrong. Sprint has one plan that will allow you a one year, it's the Area Wide plan that is $45 for 1000 minutes, unlimited n&w , pay extra for roaming, and is only regional. Second line, add $20 dollars. This is the only plan with a 1yr option. And yes, their phones are expensive and insurance sucks.

So what did I say in the last post that was wrong? I never said she couldnt get that plan. Also, by your thought process, youre wrong because you didnt mention that she can get a free incoming plan with a one year contract. 😳
