😢 Ok guys!! I am desperately seeking some advice. I have had my sprint phone since new years eve and I hate my phone!!! Of course I cant get any information on what the charges would be of changing phones other than I can buy a new phone outright. Any ideas on a cheaper way of getting a new phone and what, if any charges sprint will charge me for doing this not thru them? I am totally confused! Any help is appreciated!

As far as getting a new phone cheaply, you might try an auction site like ebay. Be careful, though -- 'new' or 'unopened' only, otherwise you might get a surprise when it gets to you.

Sprint charges a $36 upgrade fee for an ESN swap. You might get a CSR who would be willing to waive that, but more often than not, you're gonna get stuck with it.

Hope that helps! 🙂

Yeah I would check ebay, BRAND NEW phones only, and make sure they are compatible with Sprint in your area. (They should have a link on there to check that). As for what phone, I would go for a reliable phone such as a Sanyo 8300, 7400, 7500. Those are great phones. You may also want to check out the new Sanyo 3100.

They do 36 dollar charge FOR UPGRADES only not supposed to for ESN swaps, tell them to waiver the fee and they should do it, if not find a CSR that will. I know I would if soemone came to me with that problem.
