If it was at one point carried by Sprint, you can upgrade to it without any problems. CS might try to talk you into going with a newer phone, but it's compatible, it'll work, and you shouldn't really have a problem.

As far as being familiar with it, I'm afraid I'm not. It had already been discontinued by the time I entered the wireless field.

the phone is bluetooth compatible, a mediocre camera, and pretty decent signal strength. as for the actual quality of the phone itself, i would not recommend the phone if you do any type of labor (e.g. construction, etc.), because the slide down part is not constructed very well.

my husband had the phone for a little over a year and i neve heard any complaints about it. it DID however have some software issues in the begining, but i am assuming that all of those quirks have been worked out.

My brother in law has the LG 325 and he hates it. I personally think it's crappy also, it seems low quality, maybe cause it's LG...

But he's had it for over a year now and has had so many problems with it, and the BT for it doesnt seem to work well...maybe it is just his phone, but I have heard from many that the phone is a POS. want a slider? Try the Samsung A800...expensive..but good phone, we use it as one of our store phones here.

Hmm the samsung A800 is a 2.0 Megapixel camera, text on there sucks big ones, I dont like it. Another 2.0 Megapixel camera by Sprint is the a940, it's unique looking and has the MP3 player and power vision. But all in all, I would upgrade to the Samsung a940, with the external memory slot that can take a 512MB card, 1.3MP camera, MP3, power vision. A phone with a good camera/features the 920 is the way to go in my opinion.

Hope that helped you, good hunting :-D

a940 is a 2.0 mp camera, I think you mixed it up with the a920

yeah, the a800 also has a 2 mp camera when used as a camera (sideways versus up and down), otherwise it is a 1.3 mp camera.

If you can tolerate having to switch from T-9 to Alpha, or vice versa because there's no standard when you begin a new text-message, I'd say the A900. I've heard of some problems with it, mainly following firmware upgrades, but I have yet to experience any issues, and I've had mine for about two months.

It's a bit pricey, but for all the features, it's great. Or maybe the A920. Same features, with the expandable memory, and slightly less expensive. Either way, both great phones.

i have the a900 and after i did the firmware upgrade, it works fine! i thknk that it may have too many features that you may or may not use.

the a900 does have a mp3 player, 1.3 megapix camera, bluetooth, speakerphone, video capture. nice large buttons.

if you switch it to t9 when you first get the phone or to the alpha text, it will stay that way until you change it again.

it's a pretty good phone. it is too pricey though. which is why i'm glad i got it for free! 😁

Sanyo 8300 is awesome if you want video capability. the Samsung a920 is great too if you need EV-DO. Sanyo 3100 best bang for the buck.
