and there is the new sanyo coming out that is their answer to the razr and the blade. it's automatically going to be a lot more bad ass cause it's a sanyo.

No EVDO and it's a vga camera not 1.3.

For some reason i doubt that sanyo will release another top end phone without the 1.3mp camera or evdo. but of course i've heard stuff even more stupid with phone manufacturers.

I've held the actual phone and it has no evdo and has a vga camara. The reasoning for this according to Sanyo was to keep the price down to around $99.99 with new activation

That's good of Sanyo to try and keep the price down, but they have to also consider what's in demand. Customers want technology, they want gadgets and perks on their phones. Yeah, I know that some people only want a phone for a phone but for every one of them there are maybe 5 who want everthing (mp3, evdo, bluetooth, etc....)

that could very well be a "prototype" phone, and not the one that they are releasing for consumer use. with the sanyo a900, i would doubt that they (sanyo) would release a phone with poorer picture quality and without evdo. prople may like that, but i'm sure that have the bottom line in mind when they are making this phone. regardless, it's going to be a pretty cool phone.

and where do you work that you are able to "hold" the phone when it hasn't even been scheduled for release?

It is scheduled for june release. My Sanyo rep had the phone so I was able to see it.

No evdo, and vga camera is a serious let down. Sanyo just dropped one of those in the 3100, no need for anything like that, even if it's slim like the A900.
