The usb for the a920 is used just for using your phone as a modem, and yes you need a card reader for your computer in order to put files on your card.

data cable is also used for transferring files from the pc to the card.....not just modem use. c'mon dude, what good would the expandable transferrable memory be without a way to move it???? 😳

I have a card reader, but how do you use it without the reader? This phone is still new to me.

Actually, it's not. He's right. The usb cable is for modem only. I just got this phone and you must use the card and a separate card reader to do file transfers. What's a real big downer is the fact that you can't use any of your music files on the card as a ringer. You can play files in the media player but not as ringers. No OBEX FTP either. Keeps money in sprint's pocket by making you buy ringers every 90 days... I use it for data mostly though and it gets really good speeds for internet us...

From what I understand, If you download a ringer, the only reason it says "Expiration 90 days".. is if you dont INSTALL it to the phone w/in 90 days, it doesnt delete itself from your phone in 90 days.. you just have to install it before then, far as I know

I think the pictures/videos are saved in a 100rsses or something like that folder. Jus save a picture from your phone to the card and the folder will be created on the card. Hope that helps.
