Ok I'm just curious what carrier you guys think has the fastest data transfer speeds? I have T-Mobile now and I always thought they were pretty fast...I text a lot...but now I don't think they are so much. How bout internet (WAP like T-Zones or T-Mobile web sorta things) speeds. Sprint and Verizon keep talking bout their new this or that 3G EV-DO stuff....so what do you think?
...
Verizon Wireless' broadband access has dsl type broadband speed wirelessly, city wide, in hundreds of big citys covering over 190 million americans and is expanding coast to coast. with speeds averaging 400-700 kb/s and bursts up to 2mbps it is unmatched in the industry
Sprint's Powervision network is based of the same EVDO platform network and is similiar to the VZW broadband access.
Cingular doesnt even have a broadband network they have EDGE "high speed" which is faster then dialup but it is not true broadband, plus their voice quality is lacking in many areas and they consistantly rank dead last in almost every catagory according to consumer reports and jd power and associates.
T-mobile you seem to know, they dont have a real br...

Sprint is best data transfer, esp. if you are in a large market with EV-DO

and hows that darth, care to post some stats instead of just a sentence?
...
lol...I'm in San Diego if that helps any.....
...
both vzw and sprint have service in san diego, probably pretty comparable to. I would go into a store and check out both, if you want a voice plan also VZW is supperior as far as network, customer care, and customer satisfaction go. for data they are pretty even.
...
I'd agree with the customer care and csat, but i doubt their network is much better at all. but then again, if it's neck and neck why not go for the company with the higher csat? /shrug
...
Verizon, superior, and customer care in the same sentence...uh...ok...20 of my friends and thier families have left verizon and come to sprint because of verizon's CS. That reflects satisfaction, i take it you work for Verizon? :=D I love T-mobiles Customer service by far the best
...
T-Mobile, I feel, does have the best customer service representatives. VCast by VZW and Power Vision by Sprint are the exact same thing (pretty much) because they are both EVDO and on CDMA networks. I feel if you are looking at data as well as plans, Sprint does have an edge over plans versus Verizon because you get more bang for your buck. I also feel that VZW's and Sprint's customer service pretty much on the same level. I do, however, feel that Sprint has an edge with in-store customer service because they service phones in store, and their reps are a lot more knowledgeable on EVDO versus VZW employees. I say that because when Sprint launched EVDO it was required that employees go through training on the product. Verizon probably did the ...
